VAT Registration in Ajman

Safeway Tax Consultancy is an FTA-registered tax agency with its office in Ajman. We register mainland companies and free zone companies in Ajman for VAT, and we meet clients in person or work remotely.

Who must register for VAT

• Mandatory registration: taxable supplies and imports above AED 375,000 in the previous 12 months, or expected to exceed it in the next 30 days
• Voluntary registration: taxable supplies or expenses above AED 187,500
• Apply within 30 days of reaching the threshold. Late registration carries an administrative penalty of AED 10,000

How we register your Ajman business

• Check your turnover, licence activities and group structure
• Prepare the application on the EmaraTax portal with your trade licence and owner documents
• Follow the application through to your Tax Registration Number (TRN)
• Set up VAT invoices and a return calendar

Ajman companies often hold licences from the Ajman Department of Economic Development or from an Ajman free zone. Both can need VAT registration, and we confirm which supplies are taxable before we apply. VAT returns are due within 28 days of the end of each tax period.
